This weekend members of our executive board and our Alumni Volunteer Committee traveled to Woodland Hills, CA to attend the Carlson Leadership Academy. Our executive board met with their peers and national directors in leadership workshops to hone their skills in their respective positions. They collaborated on ideas to improve the chapter locally as well as grow as an organization nationally. At the annual awards breakfast, the UCLA California-Omicron chapter was awarded the Excelsior Award for our commitment to adopting substance free housing and renovating our common spaces to reflect this progression. It was a great honor to be recognized as a chapter for the improvements that have been made and we hope that this weekend served to allow the newly elected leaders to propagate this legacy of excellence.
